He is a graduate of the Philippine Science High School and the University of the Philippines, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics, and he completed his law degree at the University of San Agustin. A former professional writer and editor, he now teaches Labor Law. His practice includes advising companies on contracts, labor relations, real estate, and general business matters, as well as representing individuals in criminal and civil cases.
