About:
Atty. Shy teaches Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, and Evidence to college students with the course of Criminology. Aside from her teaching endeavors, she has a solid foundation of civil law, criminal law, labor law, and remedial law in her role as a Court Attorney with the Court of Appeals. Her prior experience as an Associate Lawyer also helped her gain practical experiences in preparing legal pleadings and documents. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and as a Registered Psychometrician, Atty. Shy strongly believe that nurturing and attending to your mental health is key in overcoming stress and anxieties in school, exams, work, and in life.

Shy advises corporate clients with their business operations including but not limited to tax, labor, and regulatory matters vis-a-vis government agencies such as the BIR, DOLE, SEC, BSP, and AMLC. She also handles several projects involving corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and preparation of employee handbooks, among others. Atty. Shy also renders legal advice and contract reviews to individual clients with their family, estate, and property concerns.

2023 - 2025Atty. Shy is a part-time lecturer affiliated with the Criminology Department. She has been assigned to teach the subjects of Criminal Law Book 2, Criminal Procedure, and Evidence. She believes that in order to achieve proper disposition of cases, the concept of due process must be thoroughly engraved in the grass-roots of our law enforcement system, especially when life and liberty are at stake.
